Orchard Park, NY, is located in Erie County. It is southeast of the city of Buffalo and is home to roughly 30,000 people. Orchard Park is one of the "Southtowns" of Erie County and is well known as the site of the field where Buffalo's professional football team plays. The town was named "Ellicott" after Joseph Ellicott in 1850, but in 1935 the town was renamed "Orchard Park" after its principal settlement. Since its beginning, Orchard Park has seen many changes, but it is still considered a rural area as it has many farms and expanses of land. Being in the Southtowns of Erie County, Orchard Park experiences heavy snowfalls as well as extreme cold & wind that can wreak havoc on properties in the area.
